***June 2014: ACT Scores***

@falcons237‌ Why tonight? :O

@Hawkace‌ hmm, if that is true I think it would be worth it. I’m at a 35.25 so one question somewhere could bump me.

@Hawkace‌ I leave to South America tomorrow! I think I’m gonna do it, I’d rather pay and get conformation rather than contemplating on wether if…

Does this curve seem right:
E: -5 (32)
M: -7 (30)
R: -7 (30)
S: -2 (34)

I haven’t got my scores back yet

So my scores are:

32C
33E
30M
32R
31S

My question is, I am looking into Computer/ Electrical engineering schools and have a 2080 SAT superscore. (670Math) Will either the 30M or 670 Math be good enough for merit aid and acceptance into Penn State, Univ of Maryland, Univ of Delaware, Villanova or do you think I should take it beginning of senior year

umm 3 in math, 1-2 in science, 1-2 in reading, 1-2 in english @sallymeno11‌

Why would my score not be up? All of my friends from my town can view their scores (even other kids from my test center). I seriously doubt that I made a mistake copying information on my answer sheet. Why else would my score be delayed? None of the reasons listed on the ACT website make sense, are there any other reasons that they don’t list? I got a 32 on the last ACT (due to poor time management as I had never taken an ACT before) and I don’t think my score would be able to go up enough to raise flags for cheating. If anyone knows of any other reason let me know and maybe it’ll help my paranoia. Thanks!

@eharr34‌ Just luck of the draw. Mine isn’t available yet either, 32 on the last ACT as well. We’ll have it in a week or two, just be patient.

Most of the rest will come out Wednesday and Friday. After that point it’ll be mostly scores that have info problems  just contacted ACT

This was my 3rd time writing the ACT.

December 2013
Composite- 33
E-34
M-33
R-32
S-31

April 2014
Composite- 33
E-35
M-35
R-34
S-29

June 2014
Composite- 33
E-35
M-34
R-32
S-31

I’m quite a bit upset that I got the same score every time! I desperately want a 34, so that I can be in the 34-36 range and won’t be rejected from an elite school solely based on my ACT score (they say they are holistic but still)… Trying to decide whether to give it one more shot in September or not… I’m leaning towards yes

@2kewl4skool‌ NO school (and I mean NO school- not even Harvard) will reject you solely because of a 33. A 33 is in the top 1%, and studies show that once you reach that 33, your college readiness is nearly identical to that of someone who scores a 34 or 35. Don’t flip. Don’t retake. You’ll be FINE.

Honestly, anyone above a 30+ should be happy. Don’t be upset when you achieved something great. Also, if you get rejected, it wouldn’t be cause of your test score. Keep in mind they look at other factors too.

Stop bothering yourself or trying to retake.

In that case, do you guys think I should send all 3 scores to my schools? Or is one or two of the subset distributions better than the others?

So I have to wait till tomorrow for my scores? And if I STILL don’t get them I have to wait till Friday? wow… :/

Serious question – Should I retake a 32 composite?

My dream school is Vanderbilt, so do you think they would value a 33/34 any different than a 32?

@kimcland10 Huh, that’s strange! I’m almost positive that the subscores for the ACT only go up to 18. Strange curve…

^ ^
Sometimes -1 = 18 on the subscores

Will there be a 12AM batch of scores or not til the morning?

Can you get your MC score before your writing score or do they only let you look at your score once everything is graded?

@nbph216

If the last few tests are any indication they post scores on release days around 8 AM Central time.

Last time though they made the Monday posting at 8AM, then said they would post on Wednesdays and Fridays. However, what happened is they did not post any scores on the first Wednesday, instead waited until Friday.

So I’d for sure not stay up to check scores, and brace myself for the possibility that they may not post tomorrow at all.

It is what it is.
