***June 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

@tobester I didn’t get that passage, was CR your experimental section? In the SAT, there’s 10 sections, but only 9 are graded, so there’s an extra one thrown in to see how students do on it. everybody gets different ones, m/cr/w, and the questions are just sort of like potential questions for future SATs.
@hellousername123‌ thank you so much, I see now. I should have known that one! but if it asked for x, wouldn’t the answer be x=2y=2(18)=36?
edit: yeah unfortunately it asked for x!

I’m kind of disappointed, but hopefully I can still get somewhere in the 700s. :stuck_out_tongue:

From the doc I missed 3 math and 3 reading, adding in some dumb mistakes I maybe missed 5 math and 6 reading if it wasn’t in the doc. Does a 1400 math and critical reading sound right for about 3-5 wrong on math and 3-6 wrong on reading? Everything I questioned was in the doc, and I normally get low 1900s. I crammed so hard though.

Edit: nvm

@Jellybae‌ what does directional squares mean?

did anyone get a CR passage about wolves, elks, bears, and berries? it had a chart about the wolf to elk ratio too.

@hellousername‌ It asked for x. This is from the google doc re that question:

there were 3 squares, 2 x’s, 1 y, if x was twice of y, what was x?
72 degrees for x no x was 36…because there were two x’s and 1 y
where (i thought they equaled 180wasnt sure)
x + x + ½ x = 90
x = 36 agree x15

Would someone mind estimating my scores? Based on google doc:
CR: 3-4 wrong, omitted 1
Math: 2 wrong, 2 omitted
Writing: 1 wrong

@ballet19 I think I might have made a careless error on that one and accidentally solved for y instead. Maybe I did solve for x and put 36 but Im not completely sure I dont remember, and what sucks is that if you forgot what you put you will NEVER be able to find out if you got it right

@Monkeygirl1337‌ I think CR scaling is more lenient that math. On the March test, you could have missed 2 and still gotten an 800, but I think that sounds about right, depending on the curve. me too, so I’m kind of sad that I don’t feel like I aced this one.

does anyone still have the doc???
I really wanna see how I did so bad
I thought I did alright on math and writing but reading was a little tougher than usual

@humbugs yes, about the direct reference to past vs. sensing & feeling
@omghelpmepls‌ I didn’t get that one, it probably didn’t count
@hellousername123‌ I know!! I hate that we can’t view questions & answers from official tests, let alone explanations. the closest thing we get is the topic.

go to page 7 of this thread @COYWWWWWW‌

@Jellybae‌ I don’t see anything about the doc on pg7

I can’t believe some people got an essay prompt about if lying can be justified. I saw that on a practice test once, why would they reuse it?

@ballet19‌ I got that prompt haha and I saw the same prompt on the blue book as well lol

@ballet19, lol I know, I have a workbook about the sat and a question was the same, and there was a example essay written. It talked about bill Clinton lying about his sex scandal, about Huck Finn lying about Jim being a slave and what not, and about gays lying about there sexuality. I wish I had that essay, I could have gotten a 12.

What was the last math question for the short response?

jeeez all the dicks are keep erasing the doc

@APmaster007‌ I got something like 3/20

did anyone get something like “by-product of new immigrant” for
one of the Ethiopean in New York question??

@COYWWWWWW I remember that question and yeah that is the answer I put, I think its right but Im not 100% sure
