***June 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

Oh that’s weird, I never get an email from them at the right time.

Guys was this your second SAT? I;m guessing we’re all incoming seniors btw.

I have so much summer hw to do but haven’t had the chance because of summer camp (its tiring lol) and now I must prepare to retake sat and act…my life is a struggle

yeah incoming senior here… i need to get this done with with this 1st and only SAT attempt

Wow, this is my second time taking and I think I’ll go for the third unless I get that 2300+ which is highly unlikely.

@Marissa I’m the total opposite. I’m barely in the top quarter of my class (mostly due to laziness), but my test scores are in the top 2%. I’m not sure which one of our predicaments is better honestly…

Iv’e always wondered, is a good GPA better than a good SAT score?

Ugh, I’m so nervous…how are you guys trying to stay away from being nervous?

hopefully a good sat score is better than a good gpa :((((

any show recommendations guys?? lurking on netflix now :(

^Honestly, I think a low GPA/High SAT or ACT is easier to explain in an admissions essay than the other way around. You could potentially write a killer essay about the adverse (make it dramatic) conditions that you faced in school/outside of it, and explain to the college that you were able to dedicate 100% effort to standardized testing and that those scores truly reflect your aptitude, not your GPA.

@scarlettlovesivy, its pretty much weighed the same. You just don’t want a really high GPA and a low SAT score if you are trying to apply to a top level university or college, but if its just an average level college than I think its fine if one is way higher than the other. As long as you have taken difficult courses, and excel in these courses, and have a very good SAT score at least 2200 or above than ivy league may accept you. I am not so sure though, but that was what my counselor told me.

Orange is the New Black! SO hooked onto it. OR House of Cards or Breaking Bad.

@scarlettlovesivy‌ what’d you get the first time?

I hope a good GPA is better, sorry! :frowning:

THANK GOD^ LOL considering my low gpa…

This is my first time as well @jarjarbinks‌23

Its better, but depends on the college you are applying to.

House of Cards is incredible! Also, Fringe. I’m hooked on Fringe, if you like CSI + Sci Fi, you’ll dig it

Yeah I mean I’m capable of a 2200, and I have a good GPA, but I struggle with the SAT. I personally think a low SAT/ACT score with a high GPA is easier to explain. GPA represents the work a student has put in for four years. SAT is a four hour test that fluctuates given a diff day. That’s my take on it.

@marrissa I got a 2090 :frowning:
