How did you do the gallon question
Number 2 (mc) was 9 not 18 because you had to do 3(6)/2 because the center was a midpoint.
what were the choices for the galloon question? I forgot
@user18723 it was 18 because each half (1.5) of the segment would be dilated by a scale factor of six 1.5 times 6 is 9, but multiply by 2 because there are two halves.
The second gallon question pls
What was the question? Was it the salt water or barrel one?
The choices were
3.3
3.5
4.7
13.3
The answer was 3.5
I said 3.5, because it was 3.5226
Yeah I remember Now what #23 was it was the he circle equation one
How did u get 1?!?!
Wasn’t it 4 Becuz the radius was 5 and the center of the circle was 5,-2 or -1 don’t remember.
The final equation j got was
(x-5)^2+(y+2)^2=25
howd you get the barrel one
It was 1 because the radius sqaure was 29. Also, the center could be at (1,-2) or (5,-2). The only one which correctly has the center and radius was choice one: (x-1)^2 + (y+2)^2 =29.
The radius was not five because it said the center was 2 away from the midpoint of the chord of length 10. For the barrel one, I took the volume of the cylinder in cubic inches and then divided that by 231 to get 57.7.
Kim, I got the same multiple choice answers as you. Overall I didn’t think it was bad-some stuff was tedious and the explaining was annoying but it wasn’t horrible.
@kimclan1 Damn, i feel like u got a 100 lol for the last question how did u solve that the volume of the glass, did u subtract, did u add?
I got 20 for the height…
I subtracted the small cone from the big one.
We had actually practiced these in my class; they are called frustums.
Take the big cone is (1/3)(pi)(1.5)^2 (15), which equals 11.25pi. The small cone is (1/3)(pi)(1)^2 (10), which equals (10/3)pi. (11.25pi)-(10pi/3) is about 24.871, which rounds to 24.9 cubic inches.
Like what everyone else, said, I feel like you got a 100… lol
