***June 2016 SAT (US Only) Thread***

@201799 which test was like March ?
The one I did with the theatre and opinions or the Ben Franklin?

Also, how does not having time to write a conclusion in my essay affect my score

@CrimsonZa It might affect your writing score by a point. Writing rubric says,“Effective introduction and conclusion.”

@realtwinkie unfortunately it will take that long because of how new the test is

@QuantumGeek thanks

@CrimsonZa the one with Ben Franklin

If I didn’t reduce one of my fractions for the grid-ins, will it be marked wrong? (and it did fit in the spaces)

If anyone took the April ACT test (73E), how did it compare to this SAT?

Any proof?

Can anyone compare the difficulty of the June SAT to the first practice test released by College Board/Khan Academy?
Also, if anyone felt like they did really well, can you share how you prepared for the exam?-what prep books or prep courses are the best?

definetly harder vs practice test. Hopefully surpassed 1400 at least.

@zindabad Was there any specific section that was harder? Or just the test in general?

@chelsalina I feel this SAT was definitely harder than the April ACT

@ZealousScholar its harder to gauge math since i was already missing 10-14 questions. I found reading/writing testt tricker than practice test. The english section was basic, but had older rules. In reading, the passages were pretty hard, especially the Ben Franklin one.

I did the June SAT but not in the US and I got this passage for reading on theatre. Was it from the march SAT?

@zindabad how much prep u did? :frowning:

Do you think this test was harder than the March test? If someone has posted this question and answered, my apologies. I did not see it.

@nphs416 Our neighbor got the EXACT same test as March. I thought he was lying until I saw this posted here. That’s really not fair! Even if people didn’t look up answers to questions they still got to have the same reading passages twice which is a huge advantage.

@ringer123 I did some prep, but most of my knowledge carried over from the act prep i had done. I took the ACT in febuary, managing to get an average of 35 on the english and reading sections. When i did practice tests for SAT, I found that they were fairly easy (atleast for reading and writing) but math was pretty hard. I would recommend steve warner for the math sections.

@zindabad How the reading and math compared to KAPLAN practice tests?
