Yeah that’s right you can just check it by plugging it into the matrix of your calculator and doing rref (reduced row echelon form)

And for the air conditioning question, can you explain why you’d divide the initial payment by n? I sort of understand why you’d divide the annual payment, but why the initial investment as well?

It said in the problem to find the average yearly cost over the time so yo find the total cost and divide by number of years (n).

how about that probability question with the hat and the # at the bottom of the receipt. I chose the receipt one.

Which one?

Was the answer
329.99+108.68n over n
Or was it
329.99+324.78n over n

@ss1231 what??

It was 108.78 over n

I put that too @ss1231

Cuz it said annually

What’s the receipt one? Lol

Which one would be most biased @jacobreis

Oh yeah I put the one that said call the 800 number on the receipt

Yeah because probably only people who had a really bad experience would call to complain. The average person would not bother to call

wait how can f(x) approach positive infinity as x approaches -3? i said it went to negative infinity

For the compounded interest one was it 100(1.0025)^12. All my friends said it was one of the fraction ones since it was a series but wasn’t it just compounded interest.

Yeah it was negative infinity @Aufbau123 because as the thing is the logarithm approaches 0 it approaches negative infinity

oh ok since the other guy said it went to positive infinity on both ends earlier

for the last question
if you put 10.3008 would they take off
1 point?

Yeah probably. I think it was 10.3002. What did you say for the compounded interest MC?
