Ok, wow, the Sparknotes table was a total fail. According to PR though, 79/85 is still an 800. So I’m aiming for a 71/85 or 770. Taking a first practice test tomorrow. We’ll see what happens.

I’m going to take it! I pretty much aced the Chem AP test, got near-100% on the final (the Chem Audit test), so I’m not too woried about this :P

Meh, I’m a Chem honors student doing “average” in the class. The “average” for the class is around a 93 and that’s what my class average has been each and every quarter. Pretty consistent I suppose. Anyway, I’m hoping that I do well…though I was never really good with Stoichiometry and Balancing equations in particular, but I think I’ll manage. I guess you can say that I’m “stoiched”.

According to the only official released curve, 79/85 is 780 and 71/85 is 740.

Yeah, taking it. I don’t know how much I will study for this after studying for the AP, but I’ll definitely review before the test. I don’t think I’ll buy a separate book for it though. I didn’t for Bio or WH last year and I did well (780 and 770 respectively).

I’m taking it…only wanting a 700+ though.

I will be taking it and I took AP Chem this year. I’ll need to study for the true/false questions the most. Everything else shouldn’t require too much review.

I had AP chem several days ago. And I’m going to take SAT 2 chem in June. How is SAT 2 comparing to AP. I did take a look at prep book, pretty easy but 85 qtsns in 1 hour is gay?

The amount of questions in the test is based on how quickly students can answer the questions (e.g. a 25 minute writing section on the SAT contains more questions than a 25 minute CR section).

I had no time problems on the last administration.

I’m going to attempt it.

So far I’ve only had honors Chem. Next year I plan to take Chem II, which is the farthest you can go with it at my school (no AP). In honors Chem, we covered about 40% of the material that is on the SAT II, so I’m going to have to study my butt off to score well. I plan to read through Barron’s thoroughly and use the Internet to strengthen any of my weak areas.

I would be satisfied if I scored anywhere in the 700+ range considering my situation. I might end up having to take it again because of a lack of preparation, but I decided that it would probably be better to bundle it with the June Math II test to save money.

It’s certainly going to be difficult, but that’s the fun of it. I’ll be living and breathing chemistry for the next few weeks of my life.

Im taking it. Expecting 800. Already took AP Chem.

Does anyone have a link to an online scaled score rubric? Apparently the Princeton Review one is a little off and I wanted to see an actual version of one. If anyone has a book with the scaled rubric in it, could they tell me what a 740, 750, and 770 is?
