I received my score report today in the mail, and I took the writing test, so just thought I'd let everyone know that it'll be coming soon! Oh, by the way I live in Nebraska, if location matters

thanks for the update.... i was debating whether to get my results online today... but now i guess i'll wait

I got mine today, too. I got a 12 writing and I am so excited! I had previously gotten three eights (I really believe I got completely screwed over on at least one of those scores.) I am so happy I finally have a decent writing score to show colleges my true writing ability! Any other success stories out there from euphoric test takers?

you took it four times?

how did you improve each time? I've already taken it 2wice and plan on taking it a couple times more... i'm a rising junior. What'd you do different to get a 12 on the writing this time?

I should clarify: I took the ACT twice and the SAT twice. Sorry for the ambiguity. I would like to try the ACT once or twice more, though.

Oh no problem, god it's just that my scores are so damn inconsistent, it's not so much how I know but how I feel on the day I take the test.

Grrr, I'm still waiting for mine. Maybe Tuesday. I'm so upset about the science, I was so tired by that time. Mm, we'll see.

How are the scores looking for those who have gotten them?

To address your question of what I did differently to finally get my 12, I am sorry to say that I dont really know. However, I found the comments the graders made on my essay to be very insightful- much more than last time, at least, where the single comment read Your essay remained on topic. This time, the comments were Your essay addressed the complexity of the issue by fully responding to counterarguments, and Your essay addresses the complexity of the issue by evaluating its implications. If these comments are any implication, I would tend to believe that it is of utmost importance to show that you understand both sides of the issue by addressing counterarguments, etc.

Also, I live in Minnesota about 200 miles from ACT headquarters, so we usually get our scores a bit earlier than most people in other regions of the country. :D

Great to hear shadow, hope you got the score you were shooting for. I wait for the mail with anticipation every day now.

I got mine like a week ago.
