Just wanted to let everyone know how that the writing scores for the June test have just gone up. I got a 10 on the essay and 35 on the English to have a combined score of 33!

So maybe they can start sending them out for us poor/cheap people who can't/don't want to pay $8?

i got a 9, kinda bummed because last time i got a 10, but oh well i thought i had done way worse...

11 essay with a combined english/writing 31. unfortunate that i can't do grammar, eh? :9

Wait

Writing Score Affects Our English Subscore?

What if there is nothing there?

Not up for me yet...

Writing scores come up weekly so I guess it's possible that some don't have them yet... check back next Tuesday morning. The Writing score does NOT affect the English score. The ACT just combines the two and creates a new number, the English + Writing subscore, which seeks to synthesize the two.

I'mstill confused.

So, my composite score doesn't change?

Your composite does NOT change. They just give you a number FYI, so you can see how good your english ability is (grammar+writing). It is just to provide a bit more information.

This is absolutely stupid, the way they do their score reporting. Paying the $8 is really just a gamble. You might as well wait it out.
