June SAT Biology E/M Pre/Post Test

@niceboat: i think it was talking about the apical meristem at the top of the tree, not the apical meristem in the roots. But i cannot remember for sure.

@woojukim4 i got stomata on underside.

@niceboat. i think the answer choice said shoot tip, not root tip. in that case the tree would grow from the very top where the meristem is. well even if it did say root tip, the roots would grow into the soil and not affect the height of the tree above the soil, and thus not affect the location of the nail.

Okay Thanks… Didn’t know it was shoot tip.

@woojukim I also said the stomota on the underside, and am almost guaranteed that is right.

Also, I thought the phosphorus question was that the environment didn’t play a significant role?

Here is the phosphorous cycle from the BC Science 10 text.

Wikipedia says the atmosphere doesn’t play a significant role in the phosphorus cycle, so…

I did all 80 problems on M and I know I missed 2 for sure after looking at the first 60 questions and part of the M section. I will probably miss 3 or 4 total. Is that enough for an 800?

Lets put predicted and raw scores for comparison:

Predicted: 790-800 (Hopefully 800)
Raw: 75-78 out of 80

@morpheus44

The questioned asked what was NOT correct about the phosphorous cycle.

Predicted: 770-790
Raw: 74-76 out of 80

^lordfarquaad 57. mouse and sea lamprey’s hemoglobin differ? (can’t remember answer)

What I put is humans are distantly related to lampreys…I was unsure of this one though

o lol i cant read

I put cuticles for the plant question…so the answer is stomata? Does anyone remember the exact wording of the question? Thanks

@hkim: We think there were two questions. One answer was cuticle and the other was stomata.

thanks for the person who made the compiled list, it was really helpful

There were two questions. One was about the adaptation that allowed plants to live on land and the answer was cuticle. The other asked which characteristic would allow plants to conserve the most water and the answer was stomates on the undersides if leaves.

@lord, helloworld: thanks! I thought people were talking about the same question & I got confused.

Collegebound: sorry, I don’t have the book.

so are we not aloud to talk about the questions…?

Depends. Do you work for the ETS?

Wait. Does the same rule for discussing AP questions apply to SAT II?!
