No twp is right because we know a+t+c+g=1 and a=t so c+g=1-2a and c=g, so c=g=(1-2a)/2. We can determine the proportion

anybody remember any other hard questions?

the one with the graph and the two lines, one line excelled and the other was like an upsidedown parabola, i said that it was parasite and a host or something…

and then for M level
the last three questions with the rats thing
i put “amount of absorbance or something from the rats”
second one i dont remeber
and the last question i put 150 does not have anything
but i know that was wrong , it was 30 mg is harmful

oh second one i put cornoil was only source of nutrition

I remember there was one about what the dots represent. Although many say they represent average percentage of absorption, I put the number of rat fetuses, because I didn’t find how you can find the “average” with the dots. Since the dots are the data points, you can figure out how many fetuses were involved in the experiment. So I put the number of rats.

And for the corn oil, it asked: what does the cornoil in the GRAPH represent? Therefore I put that it represents the control, since the absorption percentage was always 0 and you could compare that to the overall result. I am not sure if it was the only source of nutrition, because you couldn’t figure that out from the graph.

Lastly, talib3, consensus was that it was due to niche competition that the trends of the graphs change at some point.

wow 0 for 3…

I don’t know the real answers though :)

@Jeff, for the corn oil thing, was there an answer choice for it being a control? I read the question and I thought it was a control, but I don’t remember there being a choice for that. I put that it was the only thing fed to those mice bc it was the closest thing I could find…

did you take AP biology
or take the subj test b4? if so , what wre u prac test scores

or maybe not the ONLY thing fed to the mice (living on corn oil would suck) but the corn oil mice weren’t given DEC. or something like that.

@catcat18

Even if there was one about being the only nutrient. I didn’t find how the graph can show you that it serves as a nutrient. It didn’t make much sense to me that you would put a nutrient source in the graph. I would think if it was the only nutrient source, they would talk about in the description, not in the graph itself. Also, I thought there was a purpose of putting that corn oil line in the graph with the actual results using DEC, so that you could compare them.

Yeah, i put the answer that said it represents the mice just living on corn oil. I thinks that’s basically the same thing as saying corn oil is the control. There wasn’t an option which mentioned the word control, so this is hopefully the correct answer.

I did take ap bio. This year the test was easy and i actually found the sat mc to be harder.

Actually one of the options actually used the word control, iirc.

Education - you sure? i tried to look for that word, but apparently couldn’t find it. ugh.

really? huh…i was in a hurry so i might have missed it…that makes me a little mad
Saying that it represents mice living on corn oil sounds correct too.

I am 100 percent sure there was the word “control.”

yea but I want to know why would they put the corn oil thing on the graph. There must be a purpose.
