June SAT Biology E/M Pre/Post Test

pretty sure fungus one was only decomposers. Living on dead things is not “parasitic”, and fungi are heterotrophs.
Anyway, I thought the test was pretty easy and I am expecting a 780+

okay, yeah, i believe that’s what i put… it was the ABC stagger right?

Well I’m going to stop following this thread and worrying myself, nothing I can do now. Congratulations to everyone, SATs are over till October! Relax, and have a great summer!

Wait I thought oxidation was respiration???

okay now i’m confused about the oxidation respiration thing… i put oxidation is respiration, think that’s right

Kinda late to say, but, I can’t believe there were NO questions on the human body systems!!!

Dude totally blanked out on the Influenza Question haha. Good thing I got it right though (virus)

@hkim, yeah disappointing

It is… and I arrive at the question without even knowing what oxidation means specifically. . “Glucose is oxidize” Unless “oxidize” means created.(which I know it doesen’t). I thought the answer was respiration, because glucose is use and through a bunch of steps turn into.

Well there were few questions relating to the human system… like
For E, there was a question about iodine deficiency… answer was thyroid goiter.

Also there was a question about homeostasis (talked about blood sugar levels)

But yeah… I was expecting questions about the endocrine system…

What was the answer for the question about angiosperms doing something that vertebrates cannot?

asexual repro?

@kim: they can have babies by themselves (asexual reproduction)

kim…i said that like on page 3 or 4…
ok does anyone remember aquesion near the start. about what procedure is used to fix free Nitroen gas into something that can be used by plant…???

nitrogen fixing

another wrong one…

ya im at 5 blank like 5ish wrong

did anyone get mendel was the first person to see genetics quantitatively (or whatever the adj was)?

and there was one graph with two species and one species survived and the other died off gradually, that was they occupy same niches right?

Okay good because I wasn’t sure. And steve, my bad lol
