Junior AP Schedule Question

Hello CC, first post.

Next year I will be taking a few AP courses, I would appreciate some thoughts on how much time per week I would spend on these. Last year (sophomore) I took AP World History, didn’t study too much, made mid or high B’s (but I slacked off way too much), made a 3 on the exam, and AP Computer Science Principals, all A’s, but the course wasn’t AP, I challenged the test, spent maybe 10 total hours studying, and made a 3.

My GPA is a 95.6 or 3.76 unweighted. All A’s except World History AP. Rank is top 9% (somehow?). I can teach things on my own, my biggest fault is being lazy about it though.

Next year my schedule will be as:
AP English Language and Composition
AP French 4 (won’t be a challenge to me)
AP US History
P-AP Pre-Calculus
AP Computer Science A (again, easy for me)
AP Physics 1
and I’m considering AP Psychology.

Will it be too much if I’ve only formally had 1 AP class? Would AP Psychology (the only one I still have the ability to change) be too much on top of what I already have? How much time per week should I expect to spend on these? Will I still be able to have free time for volunteering, SAT/ASVAB/ACT prep, and a social life?

You do sports or something?

Nope, at least not with my school

APUSH is a lot of reading. Psych isn’t so bad. Physics 1 was a little rough for me, but I blame a bad teacher and 14 absences. I can’t speak to the others.

Dude, don’t do Physc. You’ll hate yourself later. I took four AP’s, trading the fifth one for a study hall, and I know that I would have died without it (I’m also an athlete though, so my study time wasn’t too big). Don’t kill yourself Junior year. It’s the year that you have to do the best in.

Yeah, I’ll drop it for Latin 1 (the closest I can get to a study hall period, magnet school), I like that plan. Thank you!
