Junior College/Community College over the summer?

How much does taking classes at a local junior/community college help you? I mean, if you are going to a good university, it'll probably won't transfer right?

Exactly how much of a boost will it be to your app.?

buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmppppppppppppppppppppppp

Whether the credits transfer or not depends on the type of courses you take and each four year college’s policies on transfer credit. Taking classes over the summer gives some extra shine to an app, but in most cases won’t make or break somebody’s chances of admission.

It’s not a huge deal to most colleges, but it does show that you are academically motivated.

True college level courses (e.g. math courses which are calculus or higher, not high school level courses like “college algebra”) are typically well accepted for subject credit by in-state state universities; they usually have pre-arranged articulation agreements with the state’s community colleges (look in the transfer credit pages of the university’s web site). Private universities typically have to evaluate transcripts individually, so that leaves some uncertainty there.

4.5% boost.

^Niiiiiiiiiiiiicccccccccccccccccccccceeeeeeeeeeeeee, that’ll give me exactly a 47.15981598165917% chance,

(this is me being sarcastic while also making fun of…me)
