Hi! I’m a junior at one of the top private schools in my state. I would love to hear about my chances (or any advice) from people based on my stats below:
Academics:
- 10th grade PSAT: 1390
- weighted GPA 95% (we don't do 4.0s)
- currently taking AP bio, AP calc BC, AP spanish and plan on taking AP stats, AP psych, AP chem and MV calc next year
- plan on taking either SAT or ACT (or both, since my SAT has been canceled 3 times already)
- plan on taking 2 SAT subject tests, one of them being math II and the other one either Bio or Chem
ECs and Awards:
- leader of two STEM clubs (have hosted food drives to raise money in these clubs)
- school award for lacrosse
- will have 4 years of lax by senior year
- multiple tutoring activities
- 100-150 hrs of community service, some of which were at Hopkins
- attended Global Health and Leadership Conference (hosted by Hopkins)
- Two years of student council
- Three years of statewide orchestra
Some extra information: many people in my grade have highly equivalent (or better) stats. However, almost every year around 3 people are admitted into ND and 5-7 people are admitted into Hopkins out of a class size of 90. I would love to hear some advice from anyone who is knowledgeable about the University of Notre Dame and/or JHU, or from anyone who can help me improve my stats. (Also I’m a new member so if anyone has any advice/tips about CC that would be great to hear as well.) :))
