Junior Looking for Chances/Choices in CA

Hi, i'm a current junior. I've been worrying about college since freshman year, and i'm hoping my hard work is finally paying off. I attend an All-Girls private school in CA. So...here we go

Family Issues: Single working mother, works for Stanford Medical School. (i get a guaranteed 1/2 off my college tuition or the equivalent of 1/2 of Stanford's tuition to go to college tuition, so that's really going to help my family) Youngest of Three, older brother in college, older sister living on her own.

I'm applying to all the UCs and Cal Poly SLO, with UCSC as my "dream college". its awesome and has all the programs i want, i'm just looking for more suggestions.

My only other private ones would be
Stanford (BIG REACH, i know),
Harvey Mudd,
Caltech (another BIG REACH)
and USC. I'm really want to expand my college choices across California, and i'm hoping you guys will help me.

Thanks!

prolixity:

UCB/UCLA: Super Reach (Engineering)
UCSD: Reach (Engineering)
UCI/UCSB/UCD: Slight Reach
UCSC/UCR/UCM: Match

First off I want to say that it is awesome UCSC is your dream college, being from santa cruz I'm always around there here or there and it is really an under rated college. and who cannot love the bananna slug as a mascot. anyway.... maybe try pepperdine, santa clara, loyola marymont, but go with your dream

my bad i wasn't looking at your majors when I said those colleges but if you have any ?'s about UCSC let me know

Oh, i forgot to put my this years courses

AP English
AP US History
AP Physics
American Sign Language 3
Religion
Photography
Honors Precalculus

I'm basically taking the hardest courses my school has to offer, also. Unless i did summer school (which i didn't have the grades for), i could've been in AP Calc. But i pretty much have the hardest courses.

And i don't personally care if i don't get into my (super)reach schools. i just want to know more choices, too.

thanks norcalguy! i'll definitely look into your suggestions
