What other AP’s can you do?
Is your school one where 11th graders are automatically in SL and 12th graders are in HL?
The way I see it is that if you can pull an A or a high B, then do it. You are getting free college credit, which is the best part. Slicing college prices, saving later time, and gaining the knowledge are all great, but if you can’t pull off an 86+, then don’t do it. A 3.5 is a good GPA unweighted, which is what most Ivy League’s look at IIRC.
Also, you seem to have a great schedule overall. Instead of focusing on other courses to add on, possibly consider looking for more EC’s or volunteer hours outside of school at local places. I want to be a CRNA so as a freshman in college, I’m looking at a job as a medical scribe when I turn 18, and a volunteer position at the Medical Center until that time.
Where are your HLs?
I want to do Private Equity and go to Penn M&T Program.
You have to do 1 year of SL before taking HL.
I could potentially take AP Stat instead of MVC.
TOK is required.
Spanish is required too.
The Science, English, Math, History, TOK, and Language are IB mandatory. Chem is the elective I am taking.
Courses for Freshman, Sophomore, and Senior Years
Freshman:
Magnet English 9
Magnet Biology 9
AP NSL
IB Pre-Calc HL
IB SPanish 4
AP Com Sci
PE
Sophomore:
Magnet English 10
AP BC Calc (Might self-study AB)
Magnet Chem
APUSH
IB Spanish 5 - AP
AP Physics C
AP Art History - Art Credit (REQUIRED or else, I would not take the class)
Senior:
IB English 2 HL - AP
IB Math HL
IB BIology II HL - AP
IB Economics - AP Micro and Macro
IB Chem II HL - AP
Have 2 more electives, but not yet decided (one is half-semester)
Only have 1 elective Junior Year.
If rest of those senior electives are AP, I could potentially take 17 AP Courses all in all.
I could do AP Stat, all the AP History classes, AP Environmental Science, or others for senior electives
Taking 17 AP tests would make you look like an AP junkie. DOn’t do that.
Also, you take 3 HL’s.
Math HL is very tough but probably necessary for M&T. It just means you must
assume a 5 or 6 and choose your other subjects carefully so that your odds
of 7’s are optimized.
