I am looking to apply to Princeton next school year but my ECs/awards/etc. are quite weak. My parents don't have a car so naturally getting around in a suburb is quite difficult. As a result, I have had a limited opportuniy to participate in extra-curriculars. Is there anything I can do that won't involve leaving the house? I did apply to a couple of summer research programs, so hopefully I will be accepted into one.

ECs:
Varsity Track & Field
National Honor Society
National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine NYC 2011
Currently working on a community service project w/ the mayor of my town (this was inspired by my experience at NYLF)

Awards:
Highest Average in Chemistry H and Global 2 H (sophomore year)
Principal's Award (94.5+ average all quarters and 89.5+ average in each class all quarters) both years
Won 2011 Dutchess County Historical Society Big Read Essay Contest

Summer research is good. Do you have the scores to be competitive?

My UW GPA is currenly 97.24 and my rank is 7/170. SAT is 2220 but I retook it yesterday and I am expecting 2300+

Not bad. Great SAT scores too. The research programs and community service project should help you quite a bit. Do you have any good school clubs you could join? Or you could start one which would look good for leadership. You could try something such as art or another sport or an instrument (although it might be too late considering it’s your junior year). Do you have any other hobbies? I’m sure you’ll get into a good university, maybe not Princeton considering the 9% acceptance rate but you should apply and see anyway.

School clubs are largely out of the question because of my lack of an ability to get home after school. My main hobbies, which I would imagine are irrelevant to college admissions, are creating stepcharts for songs in StepMania and creating maps in Starcraft. I also used to write FAQs for video games to submit to GameFAQs.

I recently received my March SAT scores and I scored a 2300 (780 CR, 780 M, 740 W), giving me a superscored 2310.
