<p>I am brand new to College Confidential, and maybe this question has been asked before:</p>
<p>I am interested in possibly going abroad my junior or senior years of high school, but I have many questions:</p>
<p>1) Which programs are the best? I have heard of AFS and Rotary, and I don't know if these would be available to me.</p>
<p>2) I am a Freshman in high school, but won't start taking Spanish until next year. Is starting on the language so late a problem? I am not sure I want to go to a Spanish-speaking country, but it seems like an obvious choice.</p>
<p>3) Anything else I haven't thought of: what are the best ways to begin the process of identifying the right programs and applying for them?</p>
