Yeah. I am basically pretty pumped for APs. sophomore year is SO boring....but haha i'll probably regret that.

I actually really really want to take AP Pschy, too bad my school doesn't even offer it.

I actually really really want to take AP Pschy, too bad my school doesn't even offer it.

junior year;

Calc AB AP
Chem AP
Computer Science AB AP
Eng Lang AP
American History AP

would adding in bio be too much???

^ Yes. I'm guessing you're already (during jr. year) taking the PSAT for National Merit, either the SAT or the ACT, as well as SAT II's. Plus, you already have chem as a science, which is enough.

Junior Course Load:

Spanish 3 HON
Physics HON
AP Calculus AB
Anatomy and Physiology (Cat Dissection)
Symphonic Concert Band
AP English Lang
AP US History

AP US History is really easy to learn if you have enough motivation to learn all the facts

AP Calculus is mostly about remembering equations and applying concepts

AP English is about... well writing essays. If you are a strong writer, you will have no problem getting a excellent grade.

im not a math/science person at all but i thought ap chem was manageable if not occasionally amusing. i'm also a rising junior. apush is also pretty easy since its basic stuff that teachers have been drilling into our heads since elementary school- get that amsco book, and youll be fine. ap lang, i heard is pretty challenging. ap micro/macro, i havent taken it yet but i heard its not too bad. good luck =]

moneysworthelss - I was going to take both AP Bio and AP Chem, since I rock at both (haha not really). But I decided to take Econ instead..maybe too much of a good thing will turn out to be "bad".

it's not too bad.. i took 4 AP classes this year (in addition to my other Pre-AP classes that prep us for AP next year):

Calculus AB
World History
Physics B
Chemistry

it's a workload with 4 AP's... but it's worth getting the credit for college.. it's not too terribly bad, really.

My school doesn't offer World History and U.S. History is mandatory.

world history would be SO much better.

dude...think about this. do you want to go out, play sports, have friends, go to sporting events, you know normal "fun" stuff during high school.

i did all that with 3 varsity sports and a job and only 2 ap's (got 2 4's) but it didnt come without a little struggle. you gotta be willing to sacrifice if you wanna take 4 ap classes.

unless you can do all that at the same or dont care about going out and stuff.

you figure at least 30-60 min per night per AP class. and bam thats 2-4 hours gone just on 4 classes. plus projects and tests and your other classes

your schedule seems doable. In my school, Microeconomics is its own course, but it wasn't too hard (my grades were like 94 ish). Chem is brutal, US History is a breeze and English Lit is alright.

Hmm wow the exact opposite at my school (or so i heard) lol

omg...how do you say US History was a breeze?
at my school AP US and AP Chem are considered the two hardest. Both to get through and to get a good grade in.

I'm taking:
AP English Lit
AP Micro
and self studying AP Computer Science A.

I'm only taking 2 because IB takes up practically my entire schedule.
