econ+chem are trivial, us history is easy 5 as long as you study, ap english might be hard but if you're good at that kind of stuff you should have no problem

Chem was hard, english was pretty easy (this applied for the class and the AP test, the chem test requires a lot of memorization while english you don't really need to study for at all). The others are not available at my school so can't help you there.

edit: lol, the post above me is the exact opposite

I took 4 APs last year (not the same ones), although 2 were double periods, I had no problems.

Im doing macro this year, its extremely easy, everything is logical. Chemistry is easy if your a sciency/math person and can visualize. English is just writing and knowing literary terms and vocab. US History was the hardest for me, just a lot of facts to remember. You should be fine though.

I took three this year and wished I could've taken more (technicalities got in my way like crazy - stupid different educational systems =_="). The course load was pretty light so 4 shouldn't be a problem :D

The amount of work you put in for an AP varies on your teacher and how smart you are. For example, I was only able to take three my junior year because I'm at one of those schools that thinks that their own classes are harder than APs and instead of teaching APs, they teach Chemistry H and you work your butt off to pass the class, but then the AP study is a breeze because you overlearned. The intensity is determined by how much homework your teachers require. For instance, some teachers say do the work if you want, and in that case you can pass the class with a cram week before the exam and get a 5.

You need to determine what is going on in your AP classes. We can tell you if the exams are easy, but the exam determined how stressed you are for 10% of the year (unless your a model student who studies for the exam every weekend starting in september). The class type, teacher, and their personal grading system determines how hard you will have to work.

Chem was easy for me and I really only had to study marginally to pass it. However my teacher assigned all this junk every week and gave us these long labs to do with 17 long questions, so I ended up not stressing about the exam, but pulling my hair out doing the HW to get an A in the class.

Econ my teacher didn't give a damn, he said to take notes on lectures and self study to pass his monthly tests. The exam was easy, but his tests were ridiculously hard, so I once again was forced to put in more effort than it took to get a 5 because getting a 5 wasn't the real point of the class.

I found US hist so goddamn boring... cramming is hard when you don't care about the material. But the test wasn't bad.

I havent taken any language ones because our school is too stuck up to teach them, but I hear that if you are willing to just do what they ask of you and memorize, it's fine.

What I tend to believe is that if you are a memorization person, take the memorization APs. If you are a math person, rock out the science APs. (As a math person, I put a whole lot less effort into BC calc than I did AP Euro)

I think four is the perfect combination of surviveability and impressiveness to colleges. You should be just fine (I'm a junior who just finished the AP Bio, English Lang, and US history exams and is taking Latin day after tomorrow).

Nah, I took four myself this year: AP Lang, AP Spanish, AP Psych, and APUSH. Most of the exams were fairly easy; I'm taking the Spanish make-up next week, and it will be by far my hardest exam. Just put in a sufficient amount of study and you'll definitely be alright.

APUSH is simple.........just buy AMSCO book.
Econ not too bad
Chem depends on teacher but its hard
AP Eng Lang= i didnt take it bcuz i am not interested nor willing to put the effort in.

my course load (junior) so u can compare

AP Gov/Econ
AP Chem
Hon Physics
Hon Trig
AP Psych/Comp Sci.
Reg Eng.

Considering you need other people to answer this question for you shows that you don't have very much confidence in yourself. You have to answer this for yourself, because thats how you'll ultimetly answer it in the end.

Wow, my school only offers 7 AP classes total.

This year (junior) I only took 2: APUSH and AP English Comp, which was difficult and tanked my GPA, but if you do homework every day and study you should be fine.

Next year will be pretty much the same: AP Gov. and AP English Lit.

The three other AP classes my school offers are AP Bio, AP Spanish, and AP Calc, none of which hold much interest to me.
