As of right now my GPA sits at a 3.75, and it has stayed that way from freshmen year into sophomore year.

This year I am determined to get all A's and factor in a 4.57 for the year.

I'm shooting for a 4.0, which I think I can probably hit by the end of the year.

My class rank is 39 of 429, and I'd like to hit top 20 at a minimum. Do you think this is possible?

I’m sorry, but I don’t think top 20 is possible, just because it seems unlikely that there will be 20 kids ahead of you all within that small GPA range that your grades will move up. With your plan you’ll get a 3.955 which is good, but I seeing it putting you around #25, who knows though, I could be wrong, GO FOR IT!

Yeah 20 might be out of reach, but you can go below 30!

Thanks for the input. At the end of our sophomore year our rank 20 has almost exactly a 4.0, so I guess it’s safe to assume those top twenty would continue to rise with AP classes, considering my large class size.

It seems unlikely but it depends on the distribution. 21/429 would get you in the top 5%, although that’s a stretch as well (and the class size could shrink anyway).
