So I struggled with health issues freshman/sophomore year- they are being treated now, but they have impacted grades (I will be letting colleges know that). However, because of this, some of my classes did not recommend me to a higher level. Currently, my classes are this:
AP Lang
APUSH
Hon. Wind Ensemble (Perf. Arts)
Hon. Chem
CP Latin III
CPB Geometry
So, I actually chose to go down into CPB math (basically college prep math) as I struggled with math, and it tends to take my GPA down by 2-3 tenths! I’d rather get a 90 in math than a 70. I plan to take a college course of math after junior year (in the summer), when I can focus on just one class, in hopes that I can show colleges that I can take college level math classes.
I’m looking at a Media/Music/Communications degree of sorts (combined or any one of those categories), and schools that I’m interested include UW-Madison, Middlebury (reach), UConn, UW-Seattle, UCSD, Rutgers (safety), Occidental, Pitzer (reach), CMU (reach), and more.
If I have this course load, does this look rigorous enough for these schools?
