Junior year schedule help?

Hey y’all,

I’m a sophomore and we will be finalizing schedules soon, so I was wondering, would this be an appealing schedule to colleges, plus a doable schedule? I have some concerns or things I have heard about each class listed under each class.

AP U.S. History

  • -I heard it is mainly self study and will be easy depending on the teacher you get

AP Calc AB-

  • I also heard it is pretty easy because the teacher is pretty good

AP Bio or AP Chem -

  • At my school, Bio has a pretty horrible teacher, but the class is simply memorization, so I’m debating between Bio or Chem haha. Should I choose a better teacher with an extremely hard class or a horrible teacher with a class that is just memorization?

AP Environmental Science or AP Human Geography -
*** I have heard that AP Human Geo has a pretty bad teacher, but the class itself is somewhat easy, it’s a lot of work though. However, I heard APES is even easier, but I’m afraid it will look bad to colleges.

AP Lang

Spanish 3 Honors

I’m really on the fence about my AP Bio and AP Hug dilemma. I want to major in history and eventually aim to be either a lawyer or a journalist so I do want to take AP Hug, but science is also one of my strong points. Which one should I take?

AP Human geography and AP Environmental science are supposedly both at the same level, being very easy. If you want to major in history, I would take as many humanities/social science courses as possible, as long as you’re interested in them.
I would take AP Chem because you need a good teacher in AP Bio to understand all the concepts and you’ll probably struggle with having a bad teacher. However, if you have prior knowledge of biology, have discipline and are good at independent learning, you should do AP Bio.

Always choose the better teacher.

Choose APES, AP-HG, or another “elective” in the social sciences.
