How does the following schedule look? I attend hs in Vermont.

AP Biology
Biotechnology
Honors Physics
Honors Pre-Calc
English 11
US History

Does it seem good enough, I can take AP English and AP Us History but those are both of my "weakest" subjects so I don't want to deal with them. On the other hand, I love science, hence me taking 3 science courses! Does this schedule seem pretty intense..... Thanks, please leave your thoughts/opinions below!(:

I think regular english / us history isn’t much different from Honors. So i would at least bump them up to Honors since i know you can handle it

1 AP is probably enough for your junior year, although if there are 3 available it might look kinda bad to the ultra-elite schools. You could still be fine though; I only took 1 AP class my junior year (there were 2 available and one was science which I suck at) and I still got into top schools. What you might want to consider doing is self-studying for an AP or two to make up for the fact that you aren’t taking the maximum available at your school. Since you’re in Honors Physics you could look into taking that AP. You might also want to consider Psych; I’m self-studying that this year and it’s super easy, mainly because a lot of it is common knowledge so you really just need to memorize vocab. You could also take regular US History and just self-study for the AP - once you have the basic knowledge you can use a review book to fill in the gaps, and the scale is easy enough that you would probably have a good chance of getting a high score - I think with just 70% (or possibly lower) you can get a 5.

The other concerning thing about your schedule is the lack of a language; dropping one subject senior year isn’t a big deal, but dropping junior year doesn’t look great. Are you sure that not taking a language makes the most sense? It might be worth it for you (dropping science senior year was definitely worth it for me!) but just know that not having all your 5 subjects starting junior year could hurt your chances, probably more than only taking 1 AP class.

Well I have taken Spanish I & II my Freshman and 8th grade year. Yes it is on the transcript. Thanks for the advice.

Can I get some more advice/opinions? Thanks, Also I took APWH this year but really sucked at it and got a “B” both semesters. I am not planning on taking APUSH next year because I clearly hate history. Is that a good idea?

@Amazingman: I hated history before I took APUSH. Now, I actually watch the history channel and don’t mind it. WH is a LOT different then USH.

Oh different is APWH than APUSH? I just don’t enjoy the material and find it hard to retain the information. Is APUSH easier? I took APWH this year but didn’t take the AP test because I knew I would of done bad on it!

You got a B in the class but didn’t take the exam… Facepalm.
You should take the exam anyway, if you get a 1 or 2 then oh well. theres BIG chance your just psyching yourself out and you can manage a 3 or 4
