Yes, Morrill is what I’m aiming for. It sounds perfect for me, because I am huge on gender gaps and making engineering/STEM accessible for students with disabilities. Actually, I am extremely passionate about about making STEM available for students who have been presented challenges because of their disabilities, as I have gone through that myself having a visual impairment in an engineering drawing class. And that’s what the program is about–bringing diversity to the table.
That’s why this summer is particularly important for me, because I was planning (well, if it works out) to present a plan for a STEM camp for students with disabilities. I would do this if I don’t attend the math camp (if I even get in, which is why I’m going to apply anyway…) Not sure if it will work out, which is why I’m debating over it. I’m planning on contacting a school about it.
I am also aware of the ACT scores and how competitive the program is, but it’s a dream of mine I would really like to make happen ! @MYOS1634
