Hello,
So for my junior year, I somehow ended up taking 5 AP classes. I am doing relatively well in most of them, but my AP biology teacher is really difficult (the highest grade in the class is a 92). My school transcript shows semester averages with a final grade at the end. I currently have a B+ for my semester 1 grade in biology and an A- for bc calculus. I know that I can get both of these grades up to a solid A by the end of the year, but I feel bad that I've messed up my straight-A average that I've kept since freshman year. How much will these bad semester grades effect my chances of getting into an elite college?
Thanks.

Not much, don’t sweat it. I had an A- first semester and B+ my second semester junior year in math and I still got into Stanford. You don’t need a 4.0. Actually, tons of 4.0 students get rejected from elite colleges all the time.
