Hey guys, everyone I talked to who have been through junior year have all told me it was hell lol. I'm going to be a junior the upcoming school year. How was your junior year? Any advice an what to expect? Tips, moral support lmao...
Taking AP Chem, AP physics B, AP lang& comp, pre calculus honors, Spanish 4 honors and symphony orchestra junior year

Honestly junior year isn’t that bad. Space out your standardized tests (SAT, SAT IIs, ACT, etc) and try to not schedule them too close to your APs. You can even take them in the summer/senior year, but college apps are stressful enough. Try to avoid taking them senior year.

My first semester senior year was terrible, but it’s because I had to take all the tests and apply to college. It was too much.

As far as the workload goes, best advice is to not get behind. It’s miles easier to keep with it than to catch up. Make sure your grades aren’t lower than years previous (high would be ideal).

A lot of people think junior year’s a grind. It’s easier to get through that grind when you stay on top of things. If you’re worried about keeping up in one of your classes review a bit this summer. Getting ahead now will help you later. Study for your standardized tests earlier so you’re not cramming last minute. It wont be that bad, don’t worry.

Junior year isn’t so bad. Even with two ACTs, one SAT, and four APs (two of which I was self-studying) on my plate, I managed to bring my GPA (non-cumulative) up to a 4.0, the first one I’d received since middle school. I even had enough spare time to become more active in the clubs I was in AND start one of my own. Wonder how I did it? Determination. It helps A LOT to have a goal in mind; in my case, it was (and is) to get into one of several colleges that are probably reaches for me (though less so now since I’ve worked so hard).

Junior year wasn’t as bad as I expected. Looking back now, I say, “holy dang, I worked my ass off non-stop for 10 months,” but at the time it was just another year of school.

As someone else said, don’t fall behind, always be on top. Even better, get ahead. Get your work done early, do your homework as soon as you can. Don’t rush, but work efficiently. Project’s not due for three weeks? Do it now.

And always remember, relax. Junior year is hard work, first semester of senior year is busy, and people say the fun starts second semester, but it’s very possible to have fun and manage a heavy courseload at the same time. The only way I stayed sane sometimes was by falling back on my activities as a way to de-stress and redirect my focus to something else.

Junior year: if you’re not ahead, then you’re behind.

Pretty much.

Though in my opinion, this much can be said about anything in life.

^ haha…nice.
