<p>Im gonna have to work kinda hard next year...I missed National Honor Society (Not really dissappointed becuase I didn't give a crap about school freshmen/sophmore year.) I missed it by like .5 point. Hopefully i can bring that upp....But we gonna be Seniors......Hellzzzzzzzzzzz yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.</p>
<p>oh darn. i got my report card and it says 94 for gym average. BUT i got a 110 in health and a 91 in gym and they are each worth 50%....obviously it doesn't add up. what would you do? would you complain?? if it was a B, I would definitely be down at the health room complaining, but it's still an A. What should I do?</p>
<p>1) Pull my Trig grade up to at least a steady B.
2) Claw myself up to at least a 90% in APUSH, Physics Honors, Japanese 3, and AP Eng Lang. I have like an 89 or 88% in ALL three classes...it makes me mad enough to want to kill something. :)
3) Get my cumulative GPA from a 3.4 (unweighted) to a 3.5.
4) Pull my class rank from 78/438 (it fell last quarter!) to at least 70/436.
5) Do well on my APs, though I'm not too worried about them.
6) Do well on my SAT IIs, especially Bio, which I'm self-studying, and Match IIC.
7) Spend 20+ hours a week after school for the next 2 weeks getting ready to perform our spring musical (Seussical). "Hell Week" will begin next week.
8) Hope that my April SATs are higher than 1900.</p>
<p>I can't wait until all this is over. At least I know that the end is near.</p>
<p>man, all your grades scare me... I have to: </p>
<ul>
<li>not get a C in physics. :(</li>
<li>raise my ap chem and ap euro grade to a B-/B hopefully</li>
<li>get A's in english/french</li>
<li>raise my cum average to a 3.9weighted?!</li>
<li>aceee the ap chem exam (4+, maybe?!)</li>
<li>not flunk the ap euro exam (2+!?)</li>
<li>aim for 700+ on the sat iis</li>
<li>aim for 2250+ on sat i </li>
<li>get all my summer recs + apps done! </li>
<li>do more college hopping... </li>
</ul>
<p>thats funny how i ask this and everyone starts listing their grade percentages.....shows what junior year does to all of us poor souls!</p>
<p>when i asked the question i meant from another standpoint....how do you feel about it? i already know we are all going insane with sats, grades, and so much other ****!</p>
<p>Oh yeah haha sorry, I like junior year, I just think that we're just really pressured..it's like "get all As your junior year, or you're not going to be accepted into any college."</p>
<p>I am not going insane, but I must take the SAT II Subject tests in June and as such will take my other three SAT shots in the senior year, which might prove nasty if I decide to apply ED. I most likely won't, for I will need all the help I can get on grades.
Otherwise:
Spanish never grades anything, so it will be a B unless some magic is worked
In English I am maintaining an 88-89 average and can't raise it worth beans
World History, depending on the midterm results, is somewhere between an 86 and a 93
Math is sitting at 92, down from 95 because I don't know how to use a TI-89, which has the needed programs to succeed in the class
Chemistry is at 93 and will probably increase; the only worry is the actual AP exam</p>
<p>No, as in I don't own one because I was told to get an earlier version in the series that should serve me well as long as I don't need a CAS. It seems that time has arrived with a bang.</p>
<p>Wow, you guys have a while to go, only 4 1/2 weeks here, less than that until our seniors graduate (May 19). </p>
<p>Our grading is basically over for my AP classes, we have a few assignments here and there but unless I purposely don't do anything I will keep my A's in those classes, and chemistry honors is a piece of cake, and band grades might as well be nonexistent. So here's what I need to do between now and then:</p>
<p>-Buy a PR book for USH (Kaplan sucks), and study along with study for Lit so I can get a 5 on both
-Make sure I stay awake for at least 25% of chemistry so I can at least look like I'm there and at least see what hwork we need to do lol.
-Finish essays for the Ayn Rand and Idea of America Essay Contests
-STUDY A BUNCH for AAA Travel Challenge nationals (some of those kids are crazy smart)
-Bring in some good movies to watch after the AP exams and some good games to play
-Spend as much time as I can with all my senior friends for the rest of this year and this summer before they all go off to college
-Usher for Baccalaureate(Sp?) and Graduation
-Study for at least ten minutes for chem exam so I get an A lol
-Get elected as NHS President and SGA Class Representative
-Study for SAT II's (and sign up for them for that matter)</p>
<p>I'm really excited for this upcoming year, it's going to be fun (though really stressful) as we take some crazy classes, apply to good schools, and plan out our senior pranks! And swim season this year is going to be amazing, really our only school's chance at a district title since we lost basically all our good football and basketball players this year. Though does anyone else have massive amounts of friends graduating this year, because over half my friends will be gone after this summer...</p>
<p>I have to...
-keep my grades up (marginal in AP lang :)
-get 5 5's and 1 4 (lang) on AP exams
-get an 800 on SAT II chem
-score a 36 on the ACT in June
-compete in our last debate tournament
-finish starting a new club
-win presidency of two other clubs
-start college essays
-get my independent study advisor to sign my form
-talk to my gc about skipping calc bc
-get inducted into 2 honor societies
-chair for our MUN mocks
-finish organizing a club party at Chuck E. Cheese (!!)
-help organize presentations on Sudan in World History classes (Amnesty International)
-finish registering for my Harvard summer course
-decide between NJ Gov School and NJ Scholars Program
-find a debate camp and apply OR apply to JSA
-finish securing a research internship for August
-become a member of the National Forensics League</p>
<p>Yeah!
I find out my SAT score on Monday.
AP Lang/Comp test on the first.
Then, other than bringing up grades (a challenge) and taking finals, I'm good.
Oh yeah, and I still need to get a summer job.</p>
<p>Wow June 21..we leave May 20th, though senior finals are on the 12th or 13th. Ours are on June 5th.
So scared about the SAT score on Monday.
Doubt I'll get a 5 on the APUSH exam.
But I'm hoping for a 4.0 this 4th quarter to raise my cumm.</p>
