How does that make you feel? OMG thats crazy how fast time flies by....i just wish stupid junior year was already over. I still remembr being in like 5th grade man. Now just gotta suck it up for the AP's and SATs and then enjoy summer!

I'm not so worried about AP's. But my grades this year... 9 weeks to bring them up. :

Oh I know, I can't wait! Apart from Apps, my Senior yr is cake. no stupid standardized tests to worry about.

Summer might not be all that enjoyable, with gov school and summer camp volunteering...well enjoyable and rewarding, just not the relaxation i'm used to.

Man i remember like the third grade on vividly. It honestly seems like 5th grade promotion wasnt all that long ago. Kinda depressing.

yeah same here...my grades in calc and chem aps (93s) may not seem bad, but they are a lot lower than i expected (the classes aren't really that bad, I'm just lazy). i need to bring them up this nine weeks (the last quarter of APs are notorious for 'gimme' points, so i think ill be alright)...hoping for 98s in both.

woo hoo

My school gets out in 6 weeks...6 weeks to bring up my 3.77 to a 4.1 (so I can better my chances of getting into NYU Stern ED) and my cum from a 3.52 to a 3.58!!! Whoop-de-frigging-do.

And 3 weeks to bring my AP French up from a B/B+ to an A...and to keep my A (95ish) in APUSH

Ok I just realized my only problem class is Lang. I'm practically guaranteed A's in the others.

My semester average for lang was an 88. If I got an 85 in mp3, I'll need something like a 95 mp4 and a 94 on the final. Which is practically impossible. Soo I'm hoping for something better than an 85 in mp3. Grades in 3 days...

I like how representative this thread is. Junior year = stress. About everything.

My grades:
English III: A/95
Precal: A-/91.47
APUSH: A/95
Phys: B+/89.6
French 4h: A-/89.75
Art: A, as always.

In three weeks, I have to go from:
APUSH: A/95 to A/99 as I will certainly take a hit from my term paper
AP French: A-/89.75 to A/92.50

In six weeks I have to go from:
Phys: B+/89.6 to A/93.00
Precal: A-/91.47 to A/93.00

God I hate my life. :)

they say that junior year is the hardest....and it's almost over!!!

I've got 7 weeks to:
--take the SATs and rock 'em.
--bring my Physics grade up from a B+ to at least an A-
--keep my Precalc grade as is (A-) or better
--keep my A in speech! (this is hard, because my speech teacher is a notoriously hard grader. If your not close to perfect... no A. I severly dislike him.)
--and keep/bring up all of my other As.

(My schools GPA system is weird. I've got a 3.75 uw, but if you use the A=4, B=3 scale I have a 3.98 uw.)

hmmm, a 93, not a 90, is an A at my school.

Overall class grades after 3 mp's:

English Lit 11: 100
Physics h: 100
PE: 100
APUSH: 100
Spanish III: 99
AP Chem: 93
AP Calc: 94-ish

So basically, i need to keep my A's in calc and chem (probably not happening), bring my SATs up 120 pts or so (probably not happening), get 700+ on my 3 SAT IIs (probably not happening), pass 3 AP tests, and survive long enough to take the ACT in June and break 30...yeah.

the only think i have to look forward to is Sr. year, which is going to be awesome and much easier!

A 94, not a 93, is an A at my school.

Grade averages: (rounded up or down)

IB English: 99
IB French: 96
IB History: 95
IB Physics: 92
IB World Religions: er.. an A, some percentage.
AP Calc BC: 91
Theory of Knowledge: 100

Yeah, we have the 93 for A.

I got this semester

AP Calc 94-QTR 95-EXM

ADV Physical Education 100-QTR 100-EXM (Actually, it was 110, but can't got on report card like that)

HON US 2 96- QTR 96-EXM

My lit teacher hasn't given us our grades yet, but I have at least the 93 im pretty sure.

I'm REALLY worried about this second half of calc though. My first four tests in calc were 93-99..but my fifth (last of this qtr.) was an 86 and my last quiz was an 80, down from 100s...brought my average from a 98 to a 94...so I'm worried about next quarter calc...a lot...

Are you in Calc AB or BC? Because a 95% is pretty impressive if you're taking BC.

Well we don't have a different AB and BC, my teacher calls it "ABC" but he says we won't be touching a whole lot of the "C" part, but we will do some. I just figured out he made our midterm off of old actual AP exams...which he gave us today...mostly AB though..so yeah, not as impressive.

I think though...that's the only class I don't have the highest grade in the class in..I know I do in hist and gym, probably highest or second highest for lit... one math genius has a 99 in calc, but he sucks at english...he has a C in it...so it balances.

Whoa ihate CA, how the heck do you have a 95 in APUSH...it must be easy at your school, I am trying to survive w/ a 75...I was lucky 2nd quarter when I got a 93 haha, you must love U.S. History a lot.

In the next six weeks I have to

-Survive physics with a B+
-Get As in everything else
-Find out that I got a 1/40 on PhysicsBowl (I was forced to take this for phys class)
-Rock the APUSH exam and get a 5
-Rock the AP French exam and get a 4
-Finish&send out my application to summer programs
-Collect acceptances to said programs (hopefully)
-Enroll in one of the said programs (hopefully)
-Get a job
-Buy a bajillion AP guides (Econ, Euro, Calc AB, Enviro, English possibly)
-Rock my English/Precalc/Phys final and get A/A/B+
-Get a 4.05 (raise my cum to a ~3.56)
-Find out that I got a 2150 on the SAT (hopefully)
-Rock the SATII USH/French/Math II (want a 800/750/770 respectively)
-Congratulate my senior friends
-Take over presidency of Amnesty Intl

God these six weeks are going to be PURE HELL.

This has been my horrendous year:
GPA: 3.32/3.27
English A-/A
Precal H C/C (dropped)
APUSH A/A-
Phys B-/C+
AP French B+/B
Art B+/A-

I want:
GPA: 4.05 or 3.98
English A
Precal A
APUSH A
Phys A- or B+
AP French A
Art A

MP1-MP3 grades:
AP Calc - 98 95 90
AP Chem - 86 91 91
AP Bio - 94 88 86
AP Lang - 90 88
AP US - 92 88 86
H French - solid A's

I'm pretty much guaranteed A's as final grades for AP Calc and H French; AP Chem, AP Bio, and AP US will take some effort but are certainly manageable. My level of screwedness will depend on my MP3 grade in AP Lang.

Wow, you two are really stressing yourselves out with all of these APs...I'm not expecting to get higher than a 2 on the APUSH exam, I've always been a big fan of math and science..not history..here are my classes:
Hon. Alg. 2/Trig: all As
Chemistry: B A A-
Hon. Amer. Lit (Eng.3) B A A
Painting (Need that Art credit): B B ( not creative)
Religion: A A A
APUSH: C A C
Hon. Spanish 3: A A A
GPA- 4.0
Cum- 3.5 ugh.....
Oh well, better luck next year haha.

Yeah I'm pretty much screwed:

English 12 Honors - B (I've always had an A in that class and I failed one stupid little reading quiz at the beginning of the semester. Whoops.)
Trig - B-
AP U.S. - A-
Physics - B.

I WILL get that English grade up because usually it's my only redeeming grade and I can do a lot better. I know it. My GPA is dropping......:- (
