What do you regret that you should of done last year? Such as, spending time more productivly, studying SAT beforehand or having a social life?
I regret not spending my time productivly.

I regret not trying as hard in my classes .........it caused my GPA to lower to a 3.9 and thus my class rank is plummeting...this year i need to achieve a 99/100 GPA in order to get back into the top 10% or im ****ed hard. Its stupid that at my school AP Calculus BC counts as much for your GPA as Drawing Class. lame

slacking off/procrastinating...chem class, which caused me to receive a frickin B :(

B is good for me. :)

I completely bombed 3rd quarter (dropping my GPA from straight As to a low B/high C average; went from #5 to #22 in the class) and Pre-Calc because I wasted too much time on robotics. Of course that didn't effect me much this year because I was still able to register for all the APs that I wanted.

The only problem now is that I have to focus a lot harder now to make sure that I am using all of my time wisely. One bad report card completely fixed everything for me, but unfortunately I couldn't pull up in 4th quarter from the 3rd quarter horror. This is the most important year, so I think I have my head on straight now.

Same problem. My school ranks, but doesn't weigh. Worst combonation possible!!! I'm taking the hardest courseload of anyone I know yet I have no advantage. Oh well, college admissions officers will hopefully take note.

I switched schools at the beginning of last year, and therefore I don't think I was ready to handle the work load of my new school. I guess that caused me to have a bit of a downward trend last year. That and....procrastinating like hell.

I'm working to build things back up this year.

yea mj93, completely true. I'm in the around top 11%-15% of my class because of all the people taking easy classes. Only like 15 people took a AP class last year out of nearly 500 - of those, I was one of the only 5 who got a 5 on the exam (the other 4 ppl are the #1,2,3, and 4 in the class respectively....and then I'm like number 60 or something) ....ugh

^^^^

yeah, we dont weight gpas, and we still have class rank. its really annoying.

I should have studied abroad! It would have been the perfect year!

I regret wasting my time on a research project that could have been done by a 4th grader.

Actually, sophomore year is a little early to study abroad. There is some sort of maturity thing that happens between your sophomore and junior year, and it's really beneficial.

Def. not working hard in school..

procrastinating....

I messed up junior year big time.

Had A's in everything except AP Bio and in the last month of the semester I started getting lazy and messed up on tests. My GPA plummeted to 3.5. Next semester same thing happened. Plummeted to 3.6

It actually started in second semester of sophmore year where I got a 3.0 after getting a 4.0 1st semester. Most drastic drop ever.

I know study abroad soph year wouldn't have been very realistic, but I heard someone else (who is a soph this year) is in Germany, and I really wanted to do it in HS (there's just a part of me that feels a college study abroad won't be the same). I can't go this year (too many program requirements for my school, and I worked too hard to get into the program I'm in) and senior year just sounds a bit iffy (doing college apps abroad? getting recs? hmm...)
