just a couple questions

hi, im new. im a premed student at ku. thanks for looking at these.

1) i got a C in organic I lab (2 hrs credit) and english (3hrs, 200 level class) and right now my major's biochem. I got a B in organic I. However, I got an A in organic 2 and an A in organic 2 lab. How does this look? I messed around a bit freshman year, and this is when I got the Bs and Cs. However, sophomore year, I got all As.

2) I don't know how this looks, but I am majoring in biochem, and am minoring in italian. I have a feeling I won't like biochem, but I haven't taken the classes yet so I dont know. I was just wondering how this combination looks on my application (biochem +italian). Would the italian stand out a bit or not? I would double minor in spanish, but we don't have a spanish minor here.

3) I am thinking about getting into research. I was wondering, do the med schools care if I do research that correlates with my major or would they not really care as long as its biology? I want to do research in genetics so I don't know how it would look.

4) I was thinking about joining the tennis team here. Would this boost my chances of getting into a competitive med school?

thank a bunch.

oh i also had another question.

i was thinking about transferring schools because i don't really like it here. but, the thing is that if i go here, i have a good (better) shot at getting into ku med, because they only require certain things from its ku ugrad students and they can get in.

i was wondering if any other schools worked the same. as in, if you go to that undergraduate school, if it's much easier to get into its med school. does anyone know of any other good schools that work like that?
