Quick Note About Freshman/New Student Week:

Please come to the "Music Major Reception" on Sat. September 2nd at 3:00

Even if you are not a music major, come out to the front of Watchorn Hall (next to the Chapel) and eat some FREE snacks. There is no good reason to miss out on free food when you're in college. At least stop by and say hello to me for giving you all this free advice.

Parrot, looks like I will be in Merriam. A couple of questions. I am in a room with 2 other roommates. How big are the rooms? Do the rooms come with desks and stuff? What about furniture, even something as simple as an office chair?

Thanks

I haven't seen the Merriam Triples, but the doubles are of a decent size. All rooms will have a desk, a chair, and a bed for each occupant. Most of the triple rooms on campus have one regular bed and one loft bed to save space. Other than that, furniture varies from dorm to dorm, in Fairmont, I have my own closet and a pretty large four-compartment dresser. The triple rooms in East hall only have two closets, I don't know about other triples on campus.

Hope that helps

Are most of their dorm rooms triples? Is there a quiet dorm for freshmen? I found a quiet dorm on their site for upperclassmen only.

Most rooms are doubles. Melrose is the quiet dorm, mostly upperclassmen, but there are underclassmen in there too. East and Williams have extended quiet hours, but can be quite rowdy before quiet hours start.

Question: How is the School of Education at Redlands, I know they have an excellent Music Teacher program, but what about standard elementary/middle/high school education credentials?
