Thanks for posting the message about the decision is up. I found I am just admitted. Does anyone know where it specifies about the major you are admitted?

My son applied to UD Nursing. As of two minutes ago My Blue Hen said:

“Hello <son’s name=”">!</son’s>

Trying to figure out if this acceptance is still valid given all the other threads regarding admissions mistakes. In the lower left hand side it says:

"Admitted for: 2011 Fall Semester

Update
My Majors

I am interested in:

• Nursing"

No idea if this means he got accepted into Nursing or not. Bueller…anyone…

My bad, it says that in the lower right side not left. Mea culpa.

Yes, my bluehen says “I am interested in Nursing” as well. As I said early in probably another thread, that line, “I am interested in Nursing”, has been always there since I applied to UD. So, I am not 100% sure if it means I got in nursing or not.

I did check facebook. Some students said they are addmitted to nursing. Not sure where they found out.

But, Congratulations! :] Let’s give UD some time to fix issues.

Thanks and good luck! The situation is awful but I do believe all things happen for a reason. Somehow the kids always end up where they were meant to be. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always happen without some disappointment.

Just curious where you are from. We are from Boston. Any idea how many students get admitted into Nursing at UD. I heard 50. That means you must be “wicked smaht” as we say in Boston. ;)

idk if this will help.

but i applied as an exercise science major, and my second choice was athletic training.

those were both under my “my majors” tab, until 2 days ago when i got the acceptance change on the website. now it just says exercise science.

it also says in the letter thats mailed home.

That is very helpful collegegirl44. Thanks for sharing that insight and congrats on your acceptance!

Each UD Nursing Class has about 130 students. A little over one-half of the slots appear to be allotted to OOS students. Only 20-25% of applicants from OOS are accepted. I believe they initially accept around 300 students for nursing to end up with a class size of around 130. Hope this info is helpful. Nursing, along with chemical engineering, are two of the most competitive majors for admission to UD. My D graduated from UD Nursing last year.

Mwallenmd, that insight is very helpful! Thanks sp much for sharing.
