Just curious and nervous about my chance

Hi all. I am a current UCI sophormore major in Computer science.
Accepted to UCI Campus wide honors 2 yrs ago.

My overall GPA is 3.61.
My major GPA is 3.95 (all cumulated CS classes)
The rest of my genral ed are all honor classes with B+ and B
Have been on the Dean's honor list every quarters.

I try to apply as junior transfer back to UCB where I live because I want to stay close to home to look after mother who just had a major heart surgery. I know my GPA is not as strong as other community college stuents who I believe are all 4.0 applicants.

I got 800 on my sat math and 800 on math2 and physics ,but unfortunately they are not looking at the SAT scores anymore for transfer applicant

Just curious if anyone out there had my similar special transfer situation and got accepted back to UCB ?

Many many thanks

I think you have a chance. It is no slough to get a 3.6 at UCI honors program. There’s no comparison between a community college 4.0 and A uci 3.6. It’s way too difficult to maintain it. I believe UCB will definitely consider the degree of difficulity. Further you have a legitimate reason for transfer. Wish your mom the best and you too
