Got official acceptance email from NYU. It is official now. :)

I was actually going to make a thread for the same purpose, but you beat me to it
I got my acceptance email literally 9 minutes ago. Good thing I stayed up late. Congratulations to everyone who got in and good luck to everyone who’s going to make a mad dash for their email inbox now that they’ve read this :D

Congrats!
What school?

Here’s the official acceptance email:

I applied to Gallatin, and I also received the travel plans email sent earlier.

Stern School of Business :)

EDIT: I also received the travel plans email prior to this.

Stern School of Business. I also received the travel plans email sent earlier.

Official Steinhardt/jazz performance (guitar) acceptance via email here as well. And son received the travel plans email, too.

so if we didn’t get this email, we are rejected? :(

I just got mine a minute ago too, Tisch Recorded Music :)

(I also received the travel plans email)

“so if we didn’t get this email, we are rejected?”

once again, no.

@M0NA2010, perhaps the emails are being sent in waves. I wouldn’t worry too much until you receive official word of your admission/rejection, although I know the waiting game is brutal - especially when results come at different times. Best of luck

got the email too 10 minutes ago :)

okay I’m just going to wait for the mail!! Maybe because of the confusion they sent out clarification e-mails to everyone who received the original “travel plans” one! haha that’s what I’m hoping at least!

has anyone else who received the travel plans email not received this one yet?

I got this email too! But I never received the “email.” XD

What are you guys getting the emails today? Today as in March25th? So they are coming in waves then? ThisgirlisaG we still on the run for getting accepted. YEAAA

Maybe NYU is reading CC and realized there is too much confusion.

But…Aaargh! But it’s still nothing that really “helps”. Still waiting for financial aid.
and still waiting for an actual weekend schedule to book flights (have to miss Friday and/or Monday school?). But…at least we know it’s on the way (of course, we KNEW that, right?). But this way, it SHOULD be here before April 1. Just wish we could see a weekend schedule and save a few hundred bucks in air fare (what with the cost of NYU and all!).

But…it’s all good.
Congrats again to y’all.

…and, Rapden - yes - someone (“Oneguy”) just posted that they got THIS (REAL) e-mail, but not the other, recent (“hint”) e-mail. I think he was just recently LSPd. Good news, eh?!

There was a new email that read “congratulations” sent out today, I received the acceptance email and the travel plans email. I know, for a fact, if you did not receive either of these two your chances for being accepted are pretty much 1%. That 1% is if the email was lost somewhere in cyberspace. I have friends who did not get this email and called and were told that this was “the” email. So sorry, call for yourselves if you don’t believe me. I know what it is like to be rejected, I was rejected from my #1…I understand some of the feelings that readers/posters must be going through. For me at least, it was better to know then to have that sickly anticipation of a decision. It is hard to convey feelings over a blog like this, but it seems that the people who continuously lurk these posts, it is better to have an answer then continually question the multiple emails sent and received by members of the site. I hope that I am wrong and people do indeed get what they want, however I am just relaying what I heard from my disappointed friends who were also extremely qualified and competitive applicants for NYU. But YAY! NYU 2014.

I ordered a T-shirt for my daughter last week. It should come today! What a nice surprise on acceptance day!

Congrats again to y’all…and luck to those waiting.

I just called NYU and asked. She said that not everybody that is accepted is getting the e-mail, we won’t know for sure until April 1st, when we get our letters. She said they’re basically being sent out as the decision is made and if they think you may need to make travel plans. She also said that it does not mean we didn’t get in if we didn’t get the e-mail. Hope this helps whoever is wondering
