My EFC was about 6000 and the Scholarship Recognition Award is offering me $14,770. I’m in-state but I didn’t qualify for Cal Grants. How did they determine how much everyone gets?

My EFC was 0$. I got 19,000$

I’m confused!! SO the total estimated aid, is the money they are giving me right?

Is the expected family contribution a total of everything I have to pay?

Is the net cost aid, what I have to pay back to them later? I don’t really understand what it all means!!

Dang, I’m sorry…how much of the looks at website $29,702 is room/board/other unnecessary fees?

About 5 grand, though he can tack on $22k for OOS

EFC: 1700

COA: 29K

Gift Aid Total: ~19K
Pell Grant: 3900
ACG: 750
Cal Grant: 10300
UCLA Grant: 5000

Net Cost: 10K
basically loans + federal work study

dont go to ucla fools

in state, EFC 3k Gift Aid-26k

so… I guess that works out perfectly to their 29k huh? haha

hey i tried going there and it kept on saying “this website is for ucla students only” does that mean i have to file the SIR before i see the finaicial aids becuase im already accepted i thought that’s all i needed to see the Finaicial aid

i didnt submit the SIR

and theres no way you’d have to because you need to see financial information before you decide on a shcool, try it again make sure you’re doing it right

dkdkdk, how did you receive so much gift aid, my EFC is 0 and i only got 20500 in gift aid.

i was wondering the same thing. no way you’re getting 26k with an EFC of 3k

Regents Scholarship? Or he’s counting loans.

If we choose cal grant B, will UCLA make up the difference from declining cal grant A?

steven, if that were the case, everyone would choose Cal grant B

I have an EFC of $817 and $28,800 in gift aid (grants and univeristy scholarhsips). However, this is because I’m a Regents scholar and have all my aid met.
