Is there any way to resubmit a roommate request? I got separated from my friend, I got put into Sproul Hall (both our first choice), but she got into De Neve! ='(

TRIPLE IN DYKSTRA! I wanna meet all my dormies!!

I am so jealous of you silvercross!!! I REALLY REALLY wanted a double, but I got a triple at Hendrick summit. Does anyone know how Hendrick summit is?

ok, whatever you guys do, DON"T click REJECT. If you reject the offer, then you’re on your own - they won’t give you another offer.
So basically if you want to live on campus, ACCEPT the offer. You can submit CARs (Change of Assignments) in October. They are usually successful - so no worries.

For the pricing, halls are the cheapest. Plazas and Suites are about the same price. Halls are the most social, but its one bathroom per floor (and it usually gets nasty), and the rooms are the smallest of all the rooming options. I lived in Dykstra Hall during my freshman year, very crowded but most social. The only part I hate about halls are the room size (super small) and the stinky bathroom.
Plazas are still social, but no as social as halls. They usually come with shared/private bathrooms. The rooms are slightly better than halls. I lived in DeNeve Plaza during my junior year. You can control your own A/C - which is better than halls (which is controlled by the office).
Suites are considered the best campus housing option, and a lot of people would die for it. It’s basically like an apartment - just without the kitchen. There is a living room (the size of 2 rooms put together - very NICE!) that you will be sharing with 4-5 other people. There is a bathroom (lockable door) that you’ll also be sharing, a shower (another lockable door). So the overall bathroom area is quite big. There are usually 2 sinks, and then toilet on one end and shower on the other (both with doors). I lived in Saxon Suites for 2 years and I really enjoyed it. It is quieter, but you’ll really get to know your suite-mates and become best friends.

If you’re social enough you should be able to do well in Plaza IMO. Being in a res hall doesn’t automatically make you social or mean that you have more fun than those in plazas. It varies from person to person. I chose plaza and fortunately got one :). I hate community bathrooms :)

Thanks Fasttrack. That was really helpful. And we can check how much it will costs us by clicking “continue?” But I was scared that if I clicked it, it would mean that I accepted the offer. And I was also worried that by choosing the meal plan at that moment would mean I have to go with that plan? So all y’all, can I press the continue button, and change it later, meaning that by clicking continue I am not accepting the offer?

fasttrack, how did you like de neve?

Hendrick Summit triple, shared bath. yee suckaa. i’m excited :]

Yea, click continue and they will show you the pricing. You won’t be accepting the offer until you officially pay the initial amount.

@confidentiality: De Neve is probably the best plaza option out there. It is usually the most social building for plazas, and there is a dining facility right in the building (so you don’t have to walk very far). All of the rooms in De Neve have private bathrooms, and you can control your own A/C. It also have an auditorium (so some classes/events are actually held inside De Neve). There are 2 computer labs, a fitness room, and study/recreation rooms.
Outside, it is gorgeous (especially at the night). There is usually a lot of foot-traffic through the plaza since people usually cross it to get to some nearby residence halls and suites. I really enjoyed my experiences there.
