I was taking a makeup test because our originial Jan. 22nd date was cancelled (due to snow).

I had just finished a section and I decided to cancel my score. I filled out a form, gave it to the head supervisor, and left.

Now, will it be like it never happened (which is what the supervisor said... that it will not be reported that I ever took the Jan. 22nd test (or Feb. 5th.. whichever you want to call it) or will it be reported that I took it and cancelled?

I mark questions that I don't immediately (or relatively immediately) don't get. I then go back and do them.

So I went back and today I wasn't quick enough and I didn't get a chance to solve the problems I am sure I would have solved had I had more time. And because once a section is done, it cannot be touched again, I knew I would get lower scores on those sections I had taken that did not represent my best. Ususally my method works, in fact it has worked on every test I have taken... ever.

In addition, I am a junior this year so in actuality my New SAT score is what matters (although the old one is still accepted at some schools as well as the new one). I already took the old one previously and got a 1400, so I didn't want to get a lower score on a later test. I just felt that it wasn't necessary to continue and risk a lower score (which if the sections I took were any indication, would probably have happened) for a test I really didn't need. And if I did need, or want to show it, I have my older score.

Basically I just felt that it was better to get a higher score, but it just didn't work out.

lol, i did the same exact thing on jan 22nd, but i cancelled 2 days later, it was totally not my day, but anywayz dun worry about it, no one will know that you cancelled your score, no one will even know that you took the sat today, so dun sweat it =)

On the May '04 SAT, my nose started bleeding on to the answer sheet (b/c of nervousness, perhaps), so I filled out the score cancellation sheet that day. I took it in Nov. '04 and when I got my score report, it didn't mention that the May '04 test was cancelled. No need to worry.

thats why u dont pick to send scores to colleges till after you take the test so if you do worse then u dont have to send it. of course this only applies to takin the SAT after you've sent prior scores to your colleges.
