I goto a private school in DC, right near UMD and we have about 6 who apply to UMD every year and they all are admitted, 4 of which get into the honors so its not difficult to get into the honors program.

You're in the same boat as I am, only I have slightly higher SAT scores. JHU is a reach for both of us. UT is only a match if you're a TX resident, otherwise it's just as much of a reach as JHU (because of the Texas State top 10% rule). I don't know anything about the other schools.

Columbia, JHU, and Berkeley are reaches. Michigan is also a slight reach. I have a higher GPA and higher scores, and I'm considering Michigan a match/slight reach. The GPA is really low for Michigan, but the scores are pretty good for them, so it's not out of the question. You'll definately get in Maryland, and you have a good shot at the honors program. Washington and Florida you're definately in, Texas is a good match.

Okay, thank you for all the responses. I don't think Texas is nearly as hard to get into JHU, for one thing, given how other people in my school have done in the past.

As for Berkeley/Columbia, I know I don't stand a chance there, so I'm not really expecting much. I would like to get into Michigan, though. (Of course, they still don't have the transcript that my school sent over a month ago.)
