I think it's interesting that she would ask you for your SAT scores...I was told they are not supposed to discuss numbers.

they are not "supposed to." but if you get a rookie or a new interviewer, anything can happen

but if you ARE asked, you must answer it. and do not hesitate, because it can send up a red flag or show a bad sign lol. i was told that in the event it happens, i should only tell the composite score, and not each section individually.

im ok with u guys using my thread to discuss interviews lol, but what do u guys think about my own experience? i got to really share my interests in princeton as well as my own passions, but i just couldnt really say much about a current event. does this look bad for me? or do interviewers normally focus the recommendation on where i really shined?

Well, what was the atmosphere of the interview after you didn't know what to say?

Was it awkward till the end or did you somehow pick it back up? What do you think were the last few impressions that the interviewer got from you?

lol i think it would depend on the SCORE itself.

well after i couldnt say anything, she understood that it wasnt my thing, like she said she thought maybe id be interested in the topic, but i wasnt. it was kind of an "attempt" find a topic to talk about, according to her. but she said it was fine if i could not answer it, i hope. but after that i thought everything else went well, and her impression of me was better. i dun know why im worrying so much about this, is interview really that important in admissions?

It should be fine.. it's just one thing and the rest seems to have gone well.

Don't worry about it :)

usually come in above average. don't help much, but might hurt if you come off as pretentious/arrogant or just plain unsocial or rude.

yeah I read somewhere that interviews in most schools can only bring a minimal positive edge, but could bring a GIGANTIC negative backslash (dont know if thats a word and I am exxagerating a lil bit)lol.

SO dont worry Aoshi.....

exaggerating*

backlash* .

lol....thanks 11argon

lol....... thx a lot for your responses.

lol what thread is this again? :p

i think you'll be fine, aoshi. no interviews are perfect, hehe. it's about the overall impression, as long as you didn't do anything really bad~:)

lol ya like ask what the SAT cutoff is.

what would be "bad"? lol. i know stuff like rude, obnoxious, etc, but would incapable of answering be "bad"?

Well, if you have like no questions about Princeton, it looks like you're disinterested in the institution.

argon, would that be "disinterested" or "uninterested"? ;)
