Prelims start next week, so no.

Is it just me, or has the whole swine flu thing seemed to have become less of a big deal just recently?

Is it less cases or people are just over the novelty of the situation?

Nah, I’ve noticed it too. But someone in my hall has a really bad cough, so I’m still wary :/

Not being on campus, I have no idea what it means that there’s been no more mention of H1N1. Initially, the Sun wrote about how many cases there were, and gave updates, but now there’s been no word. Does that mean there aren’t tons of new cases, or that there are tons of new cases but they’re keeping it quiet?

The Sun is still covering H1N1. But there have been fewer and fewer cases, and the frat party ban has been lifted. I think what ZFanatic meant was that it’s not as hyped up as it used to be, and people don’t seem to be freaking out as much. Everyone is still being cautious (I hope!), but the excitement surrounding it has been dwindling.

the sun wasn’t reporting on new cases. They were reporting on “possible cases”, and from my understanding was if you had sniffles, cough, sore throat, etc, you were lumped into the category of “possible H1N1” and into that group of 700. Rather hasty considering there has also been a rather nasty cold going around the NE region of the US lately (and I certainly got that a few weeks ago). I think the actual H1N1 cases at Cornell were far overblown, Syracuse University just 60 miles north had a total of 2 cases compared to Cornell’s 700.
