my class rank is not that high since I self studied APs like Chemistry and and Calculus BC before I was allowed to take the class at school and so I didnt take as many APs in school as the other people in my class. Do you think that I will be penalized for this?

Thanks in advance!!!

anyone? anyone?

Wow, you seem to have a pretty great shot. I don't think that the lack of AP classes will be a problem, because colleges like to see that you push yourself to do things when they aren't available to you (like self-studying for AP tests, of classes that you weren't allowed to take). Also, the sports, Carnegie Hall, and scientific research are all nice bonuses on your application. I would say you will get in (not that my opinion matters at all). Good luck!

first of all, its great that you have a lot of self studied APs; you really pushed yourself! but i guess there's one problem; if you self-studied those, what kind of classes did you take at school?? a 3.97 uw is obviously great, but if it's a GPA based on regular classes or honors classes that dont seem very challenging, then....who knows what'll happen?

just something i thought u should consider

I took one honors freshman year, two sophomore year, and three junior year. my classmates took a few more than I did hence the class rank. Is that a rigorous enough schedule? I have taken almost all the AP courses that are offered at school either by myself or in a class though. Will they take that into consideration?
BTW thanks for your comment.

Sorry the three junior year are AP courses.
