Hi there -
Here are the main highlights of my college application that I will submit this fall. Of course, it could be longer, but these are the key components. Please let me know how the following record sounds for Cornell, since that is where I would ideally like to attend. Also, this is just wishful thinking, but would Princeton maybe accept me?

• SAT: 2240 - reading 720, writing 750, math 770
• SAT ii's: us history 750, math ii 780, chem 750
• GPA: unweighted 3.98, weighted 7.8 (approx)
• Class Rank: #5 (estimated) out of class of 120
Extra curricular

Essays and recs will be excellent. So, what do you think? Do I even stand a chance??

Big thanks to those who reply !!!

Your stats are definitely good for Cornell and you have a good shot
However what;s your intended major?

I want to major in chemistry. Maybe math.

Did you happen to go to any pre-pro summer ballet intensives? Mixing it up, ballet and science with summer programs for both shows the passion for ballet even though it cannot benefit you in your science career. And it shows you have lived in a dorm situation and likely are more independent. Don’t shortchange the pre-pro ballet training. Especially for Princeton. They are aware of what goes into that discipline.
