I don't really have any state or national awards, just some school wide/city wide recognitions.

My essays and the teacher/guidance counselor recommendations will hopefully be great

My summer activities are not science oriented at all, which is what I'm worried about. How much will that hurt me in the admissions process?

Thank you for all replies :)

Great achievements. Congrats. If you’ve looked at the profiles of accepted/rejected students, you’ll see there seems to be little variation among them. I think you’re viable and in the ball park but many intangibles will be taken into account. Best of luck to you.

thanks you so much. i just felt that due to the fact that my summer activities are not as prestigious/math & science oriented, and i didn’t really do any major research, like many other candidates, i would not have that much of a chance. Thanks for the reassurance. Now, I’ll definitely apply to all these schools :D

bump bump bump

bump bump bump

What does it mean when people put bump? Lol. Is it a way to say ‘no chance’ or what? Anyways, I think you have a good chance to get in at those schools. Can’t be a sure thing, but a prediction.

by inserting “bump” into their own threads, the OP hopes to bring it to the first page and therefore, get more comments.

Note to OP: you’re not going to get any more profound answers than the obsequious one I gave you. You’re viable. Period. No one can state more. And if you think they can, you’re fooling yourself just to salve some insecurities.
