Just Realized I Might Not Have In State Residency!

So, I need some opinions on whether or not I need to contact the schools I am applying to and see whether or not I have WA state residency.

For starters, I have lived in Washington for my whole life, with the exception of three years that I spent studying at a Catholic seminary in Minnesota. I was taking classes at the seminary, which is unaccredited, until I returned home in June of 2011. I started taking classes at a local CC that September. I now live at home with my parents (as I did before my time in MN), who claim me on their taxes. I have had a WA driver's license the whole time. I am not sure if there is any other other information I am forgetting, or how much of what I have said is relevant.

It just struck me that there might be an issue with my residency status, and I would like to know if I am over thinking it, or if I should talk to the schools. Thanks!

I suspect you’re over thinking it. If you’ve “lived in Washington for your whole life,” have kept your WA driver’s license, and left briefly only to attend school out-of-state, and had no intention of settling permanently in Minnesota, then you’re still a WA resident.

If you didn’t intend to make MN your permanent home, and didn’t do anything to establish residency there (pay state income tax, for example), there’s no reason why you’d have lost your WA residency.

You haven’t lost your residency. But even if you had, you moved back home well over a year ago, so if you had lost it, you would have regained it.
