What does this mean? Is this like an invite for am I referred to the GSP program? What should I wear for the interview? Does anyone have any idea what this means? Did my chances just increase? ....Sooo many questions in my head now. !!!

maybe they're trying to decide between you and another applicant?
that's random, i've never heard of anything like that before. i don't think it's a bad thing though-NYU doesn't give interview to many people, and you might be being considered for a special program or something

It's a program called C-STEP/HEOP. I got the same letter back in November, went for the interview.. and I was accepted to the program. It's a program for New York State residents that includes a 7-week summer introductory courses that you must fulfill in order to attend NYU. Do you live in the city? I live in Westchester, so i'm gonna commute everyday.. but they give you the option of living on campus for the summer.

For the interview I was pretty casual.. wore khakis and a sweater. Some people dressed up more/less than i did. I had a really awesome guy who interviewed me.. it was extremely relaxed. The guy also knew a lot about me so it was more like a conversation than anything. It's definitely a good idea to go to the info session if you're serious about going to NYU.. the session really helped explain everything.
