Just some Post 911 GI Bill information

You have 36 months to use your GI Bill benefits. So if you time your classes wisely, then you should have enough until you get to a four year school. Plus, you could request to just be certified for more than half time while you’re at SCC so you can at least have the full BAH, but not get charged full time out of your 36 months. For example, for BAH eligibility on a regular semester, a student must be pursuing more than half time. That means more than 6 units. You can take a full load of 12 or more units to finish faster, but if you request to certify only 7 of those approved units, then you can still get the full BAH, but only get charged half time for the semester, which stretches your eligibility longer. You may even have enough to pursue a Masters Degree. It’s all about planning ahead.
