I have been thinking of colleges for the last month or so and finally decided to post on here to get some opinion. I want to get into a public 4 year college in Virginia. My GPA is just under a 3.0. I know that if i don't get into college that there is always community college transfer but lets just say that is not an option. This maybe an awkward request but can someone make me a list of things to do that will insure that i get into college. I know its a lot to ask from someone over the internet but please i really need help.

I know a couple of those are impossible.

Also on collegeboard some of these have 1% acceptance rates of gpas of 2.5-3.0 just wondering other than sport scholarships how is that possible?

I just took my Pre-Sat results for that will come in December and i do plan on taking one before this year ends and studying very hard over the summer for another go at the SAT.

Thank you guys for replying it means a lot. I mostly want to get into JMU or VCU. Brother goes to UVA so my parents would kill me if i ended up in NOVA. You think with a 3.0 and a lot of clubs/sports i would get in to either JMU or VCU? Also what universities in VA would you recommend if someone plans on becoming a lawyer?
