Just to make sure- AP has 'score choice' right?

and By 'score choice' I mean you can decide to either show or hide the ap grade. And does this apply to all colleges??

Im taking AP physics B, US history, and english lit

---- if any of you have comments about these exams it would help bc Im freaking out!

No, you can't.
It's the same as the SAT's.

If I am not mistaken, you can pay a small fee to have the grade removed from your official score report.

Yes, that's canceling score after your tests by June 15th of the same year. You need to send an official written cancellation letter to Collegeboard to cancel any scores that you don't want. But after June 15th, the scores are permanently set on your score report.

Be careful. In the case of my S's HS, the AP scores are included on his HS transcript. I don't know if cancelling them via College Board would affect this or not. Since he was happy with his 5,5,4 last year (AP Calc BC, AP Spanish Language, AP Euro History), it's a moot point. Up this year are AP Physics C, AP English Language and AP US History He's taking an on line class in Linear Algebra for math.)

If you already canceled a certain exam, Collegeboard wouldn't include the score on your report. It's permanently removed from your record before anyone knows it (except Collegeboard of course).

thanks for your answers but none of them answered my intended question
I didn't mean canceling scores- I meant after i take them and it is all said and done. When I apply to colleges, must I show all my AP grades?

APs really aren't all that serious that score choice would be necessary.

I already told you from the first post. You CAN'T hide any scores that you don't want the college to see. Colllegeboard is gonna send them all, just like what they do with the SAT's.

you only send them after they accept you..... so it's really no big shake.

Yes, and you can choose to hide any scores you want in your college application forms.

But, doesn't the new score reporting policy say that after march you can choose which score to send.

Example:

SAT score 1)1890

SAT score 2)1780

SAT score 3)1900

Isn't it possible for me to sent to college x only score #3 and have them never know about score #1 and score#2

^sorry for the confusion. I was talking about the old SAT score policy.
I'm Class of 2009..... so the new policy doesn't apply to me =)

Yes for some schools, but schools like Yale still require you to send all of the scores.

I'm sure this isn't the smartest question ,but I am an international student and I took my first SAT when I was in tenth grade and my score was unspeakable. My teacher said that since I was only sophmore the score counts as if its psat and will not be seen by any college in any way. Is she right or clueless and sending me on the wrong path?

bumpbumpbump

You don't have to report all of your scores to colleges, if that's what you're worried about.
